Joe's Place!

I am not a writer, so a blog is not the thing for me. But I do like to share what makes me laugh, what makes me mad or what makes me happy. So I figured that this is as good of a place as any to do this.

In the meantime, I am a happily married father of three living the dream in the great mid-west. After 15 years of "working for the man", I have opened my own consulting business. Sometime it works, sometimes it don't, but it is always a challenge.

What is wrong with people that because their tastes are so different, they can’t let people be who they want or like what they want. Respect people’s right to be different.

Amen. Why can’t we appreciate each other differences instead of hating them? Your life/lifestyle is far and away different than mine, but I follow you anyways. Why? Because you are interesting and real and I enjoy seeing how the other half lives.

I think hating someone because they are different comes from a profound lack of self confidence. They can’t be sure of there choices unless you make the same choice , thereby validating their choice. Circular logic is poor logic.

(BTW, I hated using the term lifestyle because it has inherited implications that I don’t mean to imply, but I couldn’t come up with anything better.)
